Raja Garden Station

On the CP Dwarka route most of the stations are either for offices (Rajendra Place, Jhandewalan), residential areas (Dwarka, Janak Puri) or traditional markets (Karol bagh).

The Raja Garden stop is an exception. As soon as you get off the station you can see a shopping mall staring at you. What I like is that you do not have to walk very far to get into the mall and most of the shops are full of branded stuff etc. Given the location almost everyone in West Delhi comes to shop here.

At all times of the day there are young couples and families shuffling around or sitting at the food court at the top floor. The only negatives are there are no coffee bars or a cinema hall. But then you cannot have it all.

I visited that station once from CP; was showing off the Metro to a friend. What I really liked about the station was that there was a shopping mall three flights down and the station, oh my god, hanging in mid air.

Surreal walking on the platform!
