Took a ride after ages .... with all the traveling I have been doing the one thing that I miss is the Metro.
This time in CP, I saw a new system. The minute you come in to the platform, a uniformed guy whistles and asks you to stand in a queue. Of course enterprising dilliwalahs tried to act surprised when they were told to go back to the end of the line, but somehow everyone agreed.
When the train came it actually worked. People rushed out and we stepped in. There was hardly any pushing or the mad ruch one sees when the doors are about to shut. The guy managing the crowd told me it was a new facility they are trying out in the larger stations.
But this was Sunday. I need to see how this works on rush hour Monday.
